IS IT RIGHT TO EDIT GENES?
During the Mitochondrial DNA transfer, geneticists have claimed during this transfer from when they worked with mainly monkeys, they found out that humans have a distinct difference in each other's biology. They also include that it is impossible to find out what is exactly different between the two. Another similar concern that is introduced is health issues from the mitochondrial donor, which could be passed down through further generations. Techniques that have implications for human genetic engineering are advancing rapidly and such techniques raise serious health and safety issues that have yet to be resolved. Before any approval can even be considered such techniques must be proven safe. But equally compelling is the need for significant, public and transparent legal and policy discussions and debate about the science of human genetic engineering and its ethical guidelines.
